Calling all homebuilders! For every one soldier killed in the War in Iraq, ten more come home disabled or as amputees. These wounded veterans often need home modifications – sometimes just to get in their front doors. Psychological Services

Posttraumatic stress disorder is the psychological issue we hear about most often. But the reality is that many soldiers need help simply adjusting to being back in a family dynamic. They need help relating to children they never knew, or children who have grown since they've been gone. Spouses who have been the breadwinner and now must care for a disabled partner endure stresses they are unprepared to face. Job loss, daycare, hospital visits, rehab, finances, and self esteem issues creep back into real life once the experience of war has faded into the past.
